Reiki (pronounced ray-key) healing is a practice that is thousands of years old, but was rediscovered in the late1800’s by Dr Mikao Usui, a Japanese Buddhist. The Usui system of Reiki is a very simple yet powerful form of healing which is easily given and received by anyone.
The word Reiki has its roots in two words: Rei means universal and Ki means life force energy. Ki is the energy that all things are made of, like the Chinese Chi (as in Chi Gung or Tai Chi) or Prana in the Ayurvedic system and is the fundamental energy of everything.
If your energy is low, or if there is a restriction in its flow, you are more vulnerable to illness and dis-ease. When it’s balanced and free flowing, you’re less likely to get sick. Life force plays an important role in everything we do. It animates the body and has higher levels of expression. Ki is also the primary energy of our emotions, thoughts, and spiritual life.
Reiki healing has a spiritual aspect and works by stimulating the body’s own ability to heal and assists the healthy flow of energy through the body. But as well as working on the physical it also works on the mental, emotional and spiritual levels. It is a very gentle, yet also powerful healing energy and is non- invasive, with no contraindications, which means it can be used to treat anyone who feels drawn to it.
Reiki, like many energy healing systems, is a safe, gentle and effective complementary therapy, which can benefit almost any condition and helps to reduce stress, boost the immune system and stimulate the healing process within the body. Reiki also has a very strong spiritual aspect - something that is often forgotten or dismissed in the West - and can bring about great spiritual and emotional, as well as physical, change in someone who chooses to work with it.
Reiki is open to everyone and the ability to learn Reiki is not dependent on intellect or if you have reached a certain level of spiritual knowledge or enlightenment. It is simply passed on or channelled from teacher to student by way of an attunement. As soon as this happens, the student has the ability to channel Reiki and can use it.
This Level 2 Practitioner Course takes place over 2 days.
You will need to have already completed a Level 1 Reiki Course in order to do the Level 2 Course.
This course is suitable for you if you would like to be a Reiki practitioner, working with clients, but can also be done purely for self development and self healing and as a way of learning more about the benefits of Reiki.

- Setting up as a Therapist – Practitioner Guidelines
- Managing Personal Stress
- Exercises for Self Development
The course will be interactive and relaxing with plenty of time for practical hands on work, discussions, meditations and will be tailored to meet the needs of the students attending.
Places will be limited to ensure each student gets good one-to-one teaching and support over the two days.
Course fee: £185. A £50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place.

This will include full training during the course, a comprehensive manual and ongoing support from me, as your Reiki master. You will also have the chance to take part in Reiki shares where you can practise and meet other students and develop your skills.
Case studies are required to be carried out and assessed before your Usui Reiki2 Certificate will be issued.
Open to all students who have already completed a Usui Reiki Level 1 Course.
